I have not yet used Codeplex's TFS integration and am currently using SVN for source control locally.  I'm certainly open to suggestions.  However at this point I do not have TFS on my home computer although I use it at work.

SVN locally is fine for starting small projects, but for open source a public server is preferable.
Codeplex now has a SVN interface: http://www.codeplex.com/SvnBridge I've only tried it a little bit, but it seems to work.

I will look into using the SVN interface and posting the source code on the public server.  I will look to do this once I get the project plan up and the next release out.  I will be on vacation for a week so it will probably be some time after that.
